Newhall Escrow is an award-winning company with more than 57 years of history as a licensed and regulated escrow service. Newhall Escrow alleviates individuals risk in major financial transactions with dealing an unknown second party by providing a robust and trusted payment method. Additionally, Newhall Escrow reduces the risk of fraud by acting as a trusted third-party to help fulfill the conditions of the sale and ensure both Buyers and Sellers are satisfied.

Rebranding a Community Leader

The challenge was to develop a cohesive design to Newhall Escrow online and offline. Through an in-depth assessment of the Newhall Escrow's current designs, values of their business and aligning with their goals for the future; we were able to begin an expedition into the territory of the rebrand. From the beginning, the requirements of the logo was to be scalable (from mobile devices to banners at community events), easily recognizable and communicate leadership within their industry.

Within the first few weeks of our initial engagement, we created several rebrand directions. All of the directions supported the values of the company, but only one N was to be nominated the winner. Through extensive collaboration with the client, we arrived at an 'N' that felt truly like their vision.

For a successful rebrand to work, and last the test of time, a brand guide book is a necessity. I developed a 32 page brand book that outlined the logo visual system, color guides, a misuse guide, typography stylings, social media icons and templates, business cards, envelopes, letterheads, signage and iconography.

The reputation of Newhall Escrow was very important to keep in mind throughout this rebrand process. When the new website launched with the updated logo, the current customers and employees responded well to the look and feel of the brand.
